The Honeybuns fit well and look good. My 3 year old granddaughter doesn’t like to be measured, so the adjustable waist is a great idea. So far I’ve made two pair.

They came together well, apart from me misreading the front pocket binding instructions. After unpicking it twice, they were rescued and made a surprisingly lovely make for next to nothing. I think I may have placed the back pockets too close to the centre back seam, but I did follow the placement markers.

So many options are included in the pattern along with an impressive size range. I have made these every year for my grand daughter. I appreciate the length options, not to mention pocket options and other details. Please make more kids patterns!

I think the HoneyBun shorts I made for my granddaughter are perfect! I made them in size 2; however, despite reading the instructions and the pattern several times, the back waistband did not meet the front evenly. I’m not sure if it is the pattern or me. Once sewn and realizing the back was too wide (high), I cut about 1/2” off to meet the front evenly. Otherwise, it was a wonderful sew and they look adorable!
