PRINTING YOUR PDF SEWING PATTERNS.
At Pattern Emporium, most of our patterns include Print-at-Home, A0 Copy Shop, and Projector pattern files. Each listing specifies which formats are available for that particular pattern.
In each of our sewing pattern tutorials, you’ll find detailed information specific to that pattern's printing options.
1. Printer Settings. It's important to select the correct printer settings to ensure your pattern prints to the correct scale. You'll find printer specs in your tutorial &, for more detail, here on the website.
2. Page Printing Guide. You don’t need to print every page or size – just the ones you need. Our guide in the tutorial helps you identify exactly which pages to print.
3. Layout Summary. This shows what your print at home pattern will look like once assembled (taped together).
4. A0 Copy Shop Printing. What to ask for when printing at a copy shop. We recommend requesting plan printing and following the specs outlined above. Please note, printing at a copy shop is always going to be more expensive that printing at home.
For reliable A0 printing in Australia, we recommend Kristen at Dahlia Sewciety & Shelley at Plan Make Do.
In the United States, our customers recommend PDF Plotting.

I made the size 3 Honeybuns for girls out of 2 fat quarters, that worked out well. The instructions are clear, and they fit very nice. Great pattern.
I loved this pattern and the instructions - it was super easy to follow. And I especially love all the different options to tailor the shorts to what you want. The instructions provided had really good explanations and visual guidance - better then some of the other patterns I've tried from other platforms. Pattern Emporium is my new go-to pattern platform.
This pattern comes together beautifully.
The ability to add or subtract optional detailing elements make it truly versatile. School shorts - cuffed but no back pockets, weekend denim shorts - contrast pocket binding, back pockets and leg tabs. The yoke and elastic at back waist combined with flat finish waist band at front elevate the style and finish of these shorts perfectly.
There are endless permutations of shorts in this pattern! I’ve made a sun top for my 7 year old granddaughter and with scraps of left over fabric, now Bermuda shorts to “match” with pockets, bindings and cuffs to match the top.
Pocket construction was new to me but I simply followed the instructions and it worked! I’m really happy I found your pattern.
