The Spill The Tea Tie Neck Top is a modern take on the classic tie neck blouse sewing pattern — no buttons, no fuss, just beautiful design.
The star feature? A tapered tie neckline that can be worn loose for an on-trend urban look, or tied in a bow for soft, feminine impact.
Pair it with the cap sleeve for a clean, minimal silhouette, or go for the flared long sleeve with elastic at the wrist for something more romantic.
Whether you're sewing it in rayon, silk, or a soft linen viscose blend, this pattern adapts to your fabric and your style — relaxed, refined, or somewhere in between.

THE TAPERED NECK TIE
The tie tapers from the front opening to the hem, with four lengths included (2 regular & 2 tall).
HOW IT FITS
This is a relaxed-fit blouse sewing pattern with a gently flared shape — not oversized.
The shoulder seam sits slightly forward and a touch wider than the natural shoulder. There’s no waist shaping, and the gathered back option adds extra ease through the body.

The Spill The Tea Tie Neck Top is all about that beautifully tapered neck tie — the true hero of this design.
Whether you wear it loosely knotted for a modern, effortless look or tie it in a bow for something softer and more feminine, this top adapts to your style.
The cap sleeve offers a modern, minimal take on the tie-neck trend, while the flared sleeve with elastic at the wrist brings in a softer, more romantic vibe.

3. Page Printing Guide. You don’t need to print every page or size – just the ones you need. Our guide in the tutorial helps you identify exactly which pages to print.
4. Layout Summary. This shows what your print at home pattern will look like once assembled (taped together).
5. A0 Copy Shop Printing. What to ask for when printing at a copy shop. We recommend requesting plan printing and following the specs outlined above. Please note, printing at a copy shop is always going to be more expensive that printing at home.

Very easy and simple to put together. I didn’t need tutorial at all
Truly a top that anyone with any skill level can tackle and have great results with as the instructions and tips are top-notch! My top turned out wonderfully with some fit adjustments for my own body and have another one cut out. Keep up the great work PE! : )
I recently finished my 1st Spill the Tea top. The cap sleeve is lovely on a hot day when you still need some arm coverage - no hemming is great!
Great pattern and the tutorial was perfect for me to follow, the photos made such a difference. Looking forward to trying it with a different fabric.
I used too stiff a material. All fits well except the armpits seem too big and not sure how to change it. I will do it again.
