30 Jan, 2026 - Grain accidentally left off front. Now fixed.
Pattern was easy to follow, instructions were clear.
Drawn by the 'Very Oversized' description, I have made two of these tops in viscose linen for my pregnant daughter. They work well, buttoned up at present, and hopefully as an overshirt with a T-shirt/camisole underneath in due course. The instructions are easy to follow.
See the review on the pattern emporium facebook site.
I’m completely smitten with my new shirt (not to confuse patterns). I made an Ocean Daze as a linen pool/ beach coverup and quickly decided there was no reason not to wear it any day on repeat with slim fitting /tapered pants. I almost always do a fit test but didn’t with this pattern since the silhouette is meant to be roomy and I was experienced with all of the techniques.
I am not a beginner, I have probably made about six shirts before but this was definitely the most straightforward one so far. This was despite adding all the bells and whistles, ie collar stand, cuffs, traditional cuff binding. This as far as I am concerned is purely down to the instructions which are just the best. Every little detail is covered. Quite apart from that, it is a great shirt. I made a size 8 which is the size recommended for my measurements and it fits so well. I was a bit worried it would be too oversized but it isn't. I will definitely be making more of these.
