DRESS & TOP FABRIC: Designed for stretch knit fabrics. 4-way stretch & 2-way stretch with vertical give can be used. This pattern is not suitable for woven fabrics or stretch fabrics with zero vertical stretch. 

BINDING: The binding fabric MUST contain elastane, spandex or Lycra or it will stretch out of shape when stretched. If your fabric narrows when you stretch it, chances are it doesn't have elastane & won't be suitable. 

Please note: ITY is great for the dress or top itself, but are not suitable for binding. Their stretch is too soft & the bindings tend to stretch out of shape when sewn.  

This pattern is perfect for large graphic prints. 

FABRIC SUGGESTIONS:

Fabrics With Drape: Rib Knit, Crepe knit, Liverpool, Poly elastane, Athletic knit, Swim, Modal elastane, Viscose elastane, Rayon elastane, Bamboo elastane, Merino Wool, Wool blends, ITY, DTY, Double brushed poly, Single brushed poly.

Fabrics With Body: Cotton Lycra, Ponte, Double knit, Jacquard knit.

TRIMS:

• ELASTIC FOR STRAPS: 6-8mm (1/4”) or 10mm (3/8”) Lastin or Elastic. See notes in link above.
• FOLD OVER ELASTIC (Alternative to binding) FOE in 2 (3/4"), 2.5 (1") or 3cm (1 1/8') 
• WIDE ADD ON STRAPS (See Get Creative section, pg 46). Option 1: 2 x 12mm (1/2") - 18mm (3/4") bra ring. Can use slider or D ring instead. Option 2: 8mm (1/4") or 10mm (3/8") elastic (Lastin, clear swim or plain).
• ADJUSTABLE STRAPS (See Get Creative section, pg 50). 2 x Ring & Slider. 8-10mm (1/4-3/8”) width to match your strap (binding or FOE). For 25mm (1”) FOE use 12mm (1/2”) ring/slider set.
• ELASTIC FOR SHELF BRA (See Get Creative section, pg 53). 2.5-4cm (1-1.5") soft (plush) elastic for under the bust. Measure on your body to get best fit.
