PRINTING YOUR PDF SEWING PATTERNS.
At Pattern Emporium, most of our patterns include Print-at-Home, A0 Copy Shop, and Projector pattern files. Each listing specifies which formats are available for that particular pattern.
In each of our sewing pattern tutorials, you’ll find detailed information specific to that pattern's printing options.
1. Printer Settings. It's important to select the correct printer settings to ensure your pattern prints to the correct scale. You'll find printer specs in your tutorial &, for more detail, here on the website.
2. Page Printing Guide. You don’t need to print every page or size – just the ones you need. Our guide in the tutorial helps you identify exactly which pages to print.
3. Layout Summary. This shows what your print at home pattern will look like once assembled (taped together).
4. A0 Copy Shop Printing. What to ask for when printing at a copy shop. We recommend requesting plan printing and following the specs outlined above. Please note, printing at a copy shop is always going to be more expensive that printing at home.
For reliable A0 printing in Australia, we recommend Kristen at Dahlia Sewciety & Shelley at Plan Make Do.
In the United States, our customers recommend PDF Plotting.

My first time using a pdf pattern more time consuming than a normal pattern but now that I have it, it’s on sturdy paper for me to use again, and use it again i will, the instructions that come with it are sooooo much easier to follow than a traditional pattern and the pictures explaining everything I liken to a modern day recipe book where the cook gives you little tips along the way. My new too is really nice and I am definitely making it again. Wore it today for the first time and got 4 random compliments on it.
Hi Megan. Thank you for your wonderful review! It’s so great to hear that you enjoyed working with your first PDF pattern—definitely a different process from traditional patterns, but it sounds like you’ve mastered it! And I’m thrilled to hear the Allure Top was such a hit with all those compliments. Enjoy making more!
Thank you for the 5-star review Fiona! Your photos are fabulous, and we’re so happy to hear you love the fit. Happy sewing and enjoy your tops!
I enjoyed making the pattern but found the measurements off. I double checked the measurements (I am used to US sizes) and carefully followed the pattern size. When I finished the garment, it was too tight around bust and arms. I will need to adjust a new pattern for next time. Thankfully, it wasn’t an expensive fabric.
I have not made this pattern yet. I buy way faster than I can sew :)
Amazing top, love the fit and design. Great instruction and options for this pattern. Another great pattern!
Thank you Helen. We're so happy you enjoyed sewing it. Thank you for your continued support.
