Flouncey Skirt

A lovely little skirt for granddaughter. Will be make a few more of these. What a great design.

So easy!

Was such an easy make for my granddaughter. Made it with DBP and was good practice grading sizes as I had a size 4 waist and size 8 length. As she is a bit of a sensory girl, she loved the feel of the swishing DBP and the yoga waist band was definitely a winner.

Love this pattern

I have made the wrap skirt with flounce for my 8 year old granddaughter in activewear fabric, at her request, and she loves it. I have also made the A-line skirt with flounce size 2 out of cotton Lycra and it is beautiful. Easy and quick to sew. Will be sewing many more.

I would be the first to admit I bought this pattern last summer: printed it, assembled it, and got slightly worried about the curly whirly frill on the wrap skirt and put it to one side. Today in the sudden heat my granddaughter was dressed only in a swimming costume and I remembered this pattern. In between I had bought some 4 way stretch swimwear fabric…well 2 hours later she was wearing the wrap skirt and loving it. Turned out the curly frill wasn’t at all kicomplex and the end result is fabulous. Actually my granddaughter says it’s awesome !
