Forever Friends | Girls Wrap & Flounce Skirt PDF Sewing Pattern

My granddaughter picked this pattern and she is thrilled that when she does a twirl it flounces out. Relatively easy to make I only have a sewing machine - no overlocker or anything like that but it turned out really well.

I enjoyed making this skirt for my 5-year-old granddaughter! She lives in Colorado, and, alas, I'm in California, so I haven't had the chance to see her wearing it yet. I took piccies of it on my child mannequin and received glowing reviews from my friends! It was fun to sew, and the tutorial helped me feel like a pro! Additionally, it served as an excellent warm-up for sewing a flounced skirt for myself! xo

I purchased this pattern after my daughter loved my Follow Me Wrap Dress and wanted one just like it. It's a quick and easy sew and came together beautifully. I added length to the skirt as I didn't have enough fabric to make the flounce. My daughter absolutely loves her new skirt! She is now hunting in my stash for more fabric to make more skirts. A lovely little skirt for granddaughter. Will be make a few more of these. What a great design.

Was such an easy make for my granddaughter. Made it with DBP and was good practice grading sizes as I had a size 4 waist and size 8 length. As she is a bit of a sensory girl, she loved the feel of the swishing DBP and the yoga waist band was definitely a winner.
