THIS IS A DIGITAL PDF SEWING PATTERN

The Foxy Legs are semi-relaxed like a jogger, designed for much more than just sport.

Neither tight nor baggy, they are the ultimate lounge pant that actually look great on the body. With a tapered cuffed leg, ours come in 1/2, 3/4 & full length.

You might know them as track pants, trackies, trackie dacks, joggers or sweat pants.

Yes they have pockets!

  • Designed for stretch knit fabrics
  • 3 leg lengths - full, 3/4 or 1/2
  • Low or mid rise waistline
  • 3 pocket designs (or pocket free)
  • 4 waistband designs
  • Slimline leg
  • Cuff
  • Click here to view the line drawings

Designed to be made from stretch knit fabrics, the Foxy Legs pants fit snugly around the butt with comfortable, streamlined legs.

With 4 different waistband options to choose from, the mid rise waistband sits just below the waist, whilst the low rise sits on the lower waist.

Finished with a cuff, these are the perfect knit pants for every day (and night) of the week.

This pattern would also make fabulous loungewear pants for lounging around at home or pyjamas (pajamas PJs), making it the perfect addition to your loungewear pattern collection.

  • Size 6-22
  • Includes all sizes listed.

FABRIC: Designed for 4-way stretch knit fabrics.

STRETCH FACTOR: 50-100% horizontal stretch & a minimum of 25% vertical stretch.

  • Click here for more information on stretch factor.

FABRIC REQUIREMENTS: Click here for fabric requirements.

FABRIC SUGGESTIONS include Swimwear/Leggings Spandex, Boo! Spandex, Double Brushed Polyester, Rayon Elastane, Rayon Bamboo Elastane, Cotton Elastane (Lycra), French Terry, Ponte, Stretch Velour. For more fabric information, see page 8 of the tutorial.

TRIMS:

  • Topstitched waistband: Good quality 40mm (1.5”) elastic. This is important so it doesn’t stretch when you topstitch it. I recommend Boo! Design elastic (Australia).
  • Optional: drawstring, drawstring toggles/cordlocks.
  • Covered waistband: 40mm (1.5”) elastic.
  • Exposed/Decorative waistband: Coloured or decorative elastic.

PRINTING YOUR PDF SEWING PATTERNS.

At Pattern Emporium, most of our patterns include Print-at-Home, A0 Copy Shop, and Projector pattern files. Each listing specifies which formats are available for that particular pattern.

In each of our sewing pattern tutorials, you’ll find detailed information specific to that pattern's printing options.

1. Printer Settings. It's important to select the correct printer settings to ensure your pattern prints to the correct scale. You'll find printer specs in your tutorial &, for more detail, here on the website.

2. Page Printing Guide. You don’t need to print every page or size – just the ones you need. Our guide in the tutorial helps you identify exactly which pages to print.

3. Layout Summary. This shows what your print at home pattern will look like once assembled (taped together).

4. A0 Copy Shop Printing. What to ask for when printing at a copy shop. We recommend requesting plan printing and following the specs outlined above. Please note, printing at a copy shop is always going to be more expensive that printing at home.

For reliable A0 printing in Australia, we recommend Kristen at Dahlia Sewciety & Shelley at Plan Make Do.

In the United States, our customers recommend PDF Plotting.

Foxy Legs

I made a pair for my daughter (35)- she is very particular- she is thrilled with them. I can see I will be making several in the future. Your patterns are the best - several variations and the instructions are very detailed

Fabulous Foxy’s!

I’m loving these pants! I paid a lot in the shop for similar ones, now I can make my own! My first stretch garment using my overlocker , so was learning a lot as I went along. The instructions made it much easier than I had hoped & my finished garment looked great! It was just tester fabric, so they are PJ’s, not out of the house wear. I have discovered that if you have arthritic issues, the waist band with 3 rows of elastic can be painful.. next time, I’ll just do the plain band, unless I really need it. It does look good! Simple, lovely fit & fun to make. Great pattern & I’ve bought more fabric to make some to wear out of the house this time! 🥰

Hi Carolyn. Thank you for your fabulous review! It’s wonderful to hear how much you’re loving your Foxy Legs pants and that sewing with your overlocker went smoothly. Great idea on tweaking the waistband for comfort – it’s all about making them your own. Happy sewing and enjoy making your next pair!
