We recommend using 4-way stretch knit fabric with good recovery & containing lycra, spandex or elastane. Horizontal stretch: Min 40%+. Vertical stretch: Min 20%+.

BINDING: The binding fabric MUST contain elastane, spandex or Lycra or it will stretch out of shape when stretched. If your fabric narrows when you stretch it, chances are it doesn't have elastane & won't be suitable. See tutorial for more details.

FABRIC SUGGESTIONS: Bamboo Elastane, Cotton Lycra, Crepe knit, Cupro spandex, Double brushed poly (DBP), ITY (not suitable for binding), Liverpool (make sure it has enough vertical stretch), Modal elastane, Soft poly elastane knits, Rayon elastane, Scuba, Single brushed poly (SBP), Viscose Elastane.

Ruched with drawstring option: 4 x drawstrings, 2 for each side. Use pattern piece #8 to make your own or purchase suitable drawstring.
