Pattern Mashing the All Good Asymmetric Tee
PATTERN MASHING THE ALL GOOD ASYMMETRIC TEE
The All Good Asymmetric Tee already comes with loads of options, but it’s also one of our favourite stretch patterns to mash.
With its asymmetric hem, 4 length options, 4 necklines and 6 sleeves, there’s plenty to play with before you even start borrowing pieces from other patterns.
Over the years, we’ve added roll necks, turtle necks, hoods, different sleeves, a one-shoulder neckline and even turned it sleeveless. Below you'll find some of our favourite All Good pattern mashes, along with how each one was created.
HOW TO MASH THE ALL GOOD
There are two simple things to remember when you're borrowing features from other Pattern Emporium stretch patterns:
Swapping sleeves? The stretch sleeves shown here can be swapped onto the All Good without changing the armhole.
Adding a neckline or neck feature? Transfer the corresponding neckline from the pattern you're borrowing from onto the All Good front and back, then use the matching neck piece.
KATE: ALL GOOD + DREAM ON DRESS
I used the roll neck and cuffed long sleeve from the Dream On Dress to turn my All Good into a cosy sweater.
For the roll neck, transfer the corresponding Dream On neckline onto the All Good front and back, then use the Dream On roll neck pattern piece. The Dream On cuffed long sleeve can be swapped straight onto the All Good without changing the armhole.
SOPHIE: ALL GOOD + GAME ON TOP
Sophie used the asymmetric neckline from the Game On One Shoulder Top to create two completely different versions of the All Good.
Instructions for transferring the Game On neckline onto the All Good are included in the All Good tutorial.
KINDEL & SOPHIE: ALL GOOD + BESTIES TEE
Want a sleeveless All Good? Kindel and Sophie both used the Besties Tee to create theirs.
Transfer the sleeveless armhole from the Besties Tee onto the All Good front and back, then use the Besties armhole bands to finish the new armholes.
ALLIE: ALL GOOD + UNWIND TOP
Allie added the hood from the Unwind Top to give her All Good a completely different look.
To make this mash, transfer the corresponding Unwind neckline onto the All Good front and back, then use the Unwind hood pattern pieces.
ALLIE: TURTLE NECK + CUFFED BISHOP SLEEVE
Allie tried two more easy ideas with her All Good. For the green version, she used the turtle neck from the Keep It Simple Tee, transferring the corresponding Keep It Simple neckline onto the All Good.
For the pink version, she kept the All Good bishop sleeve but replaced its usual elastic finish with a simple cuff.
ERIN & JULIEANNE: MORE SLEEVE IDEAS
Erin also replaced the elastic at the bottom of the All Good bishop sleeve with a cuff, giving the sleeve a slightly different finish.
Julieanne went a step further and swapped in the bell sleeve from the Allure Bell Sleeve Top. The sleeve can be swapped straight onto the All Good without altering the armhole.
AMANDA & STEPH: ALL GOOD + KEEP IT SIMPLE TEE
Amanda and Steph both used the turtle neck from the Keep It Simple Tee with their All Good.
Transfer the corresponding Keep It Simple neckline onto the All Good front and back, then use the Keep It Simple turtle neck pattern piece.
SHERREE: ALL GOOD + BOUND TO BE TEE
Sherree used the mini mock turtle neck from the Bound To Be Tee for another neckline option.
Transfer the corresponding Bound To Be neckline onto the All Good front and back, then use the mini mock turtle neck pattern piece.
