    PRINTING YOUR PDF SEWING PATTERNS.

At Pattern Emporium, most of our patterns include Print-at-Home, A0 Copy Shop, and Projector pattern files. Each listing specifies which formats are available for that particular pattern.

In each of our sewing pattern tutorials, you’ll find detailed information specific to that pattern's printing options.

    1. Printer Settings. It's important to select the correct printer settings to ensure your pattern prints to the correct scale. You'll find printer specs in your tutorial &, for more detail, here on the website.

    2. Page Printing Guide. You don’t need to print every page or size – just the ones you need. Our guide in the tutorial helps you identify exactly which pages to print.

    3. Layout Summary. This shows what your print at home pattern will look like once assembled (taped together).

    4. A0 Copy Shop Printing. What to ask for when printing at a copy shop. We recommend requesting plan printing and following the specs outlined above. Please note, printing at a copy shop is always going to be more expensive that printing at home.

For reliable A0 printing in Australia, we recommend Kristen at Dahlia Sewciety & Shelley at Plan Make Do.

In the United States, our customers recommend PDF Plotting.

    Pros & Cons

Pros: Lots of options to make the dress look different each time you sew it. Body of the dress fits well. The styles can go from casual to evening depending on necklines/sleeves / collar options. Very versatile pattern.
Cons: I made the dress with mid-high front neckline and the higher of the two cowl drapes in the back. The body of the dress fits great. However, the weight of the cowl tends to pull the dress off the shoulder. I had to sew in some ribbon to attach to my bra strap in order to keep the dress on my shoulders. The dress may have had a better fit if I had sewn it with the the round high neckline in the front instead of the mid-high neckline. Also, I found that the way the facing is added to the front neckline that it gapes slightly in the front. The pattern states not to pull the fabric, but I think a slight pulling of the facing / piping would make for a better fit.

Hi Anita, Hi there. Thank you for your detailed review. It’s great to hear that you enjoyed the versatility of the pattern and found the fit through the body to your liking. For the cowl pulling off the shoulder, a higher front neckline might indeed help with balance, as you noted. Without knowing what fabric was used, I'm wondering if the combination of the cowl falling off your shoulders & the front neckline gaping could also be a fabric resilience issue. We appreciate your feedback and are always here if you need further tips for your next version. Happy sewing!

    It looks great

I love this pattern bundle. So many variations and so much you can do made my first one as a toile and can’t wait to make the real garment. Only one thing I would ask is that for the cowl combo there is no neck band for the lowest neck option shame really as I would love to do it with a lower front rather than the mid one

Gorgeous Angela. And thank you for your feedback too.
During the testing phase, we found that combining the low front of the Entice with the cowl back created a bit too much looseness, and the team felt it might not stay securely on the shoulders.

    Love it!

Amazingly easy pattern for such a stunning dress. Made a high necked, full drape back for my DIL. Sadly, it’s way to slim for me to try on, but she will look fabulous in it!

I honestly dread anything fitted because of my mum tum etc, but honestly this dress curves and hugs in all the correct places.

I have made 4 dresses now to add to my ever growing handmade wardrobe.

Beginner friendly pattern and the instructions are written so well.

Must have wardrobe essential. Great for work, shopping, going out or even chilling at home!
