PRINTING YOUR PDF SEWING PATTERNS.

At Pattern Emporium, most of our patterns include Print-at-Home, A0 Copy Shop, and Projector pattern files. Each listing specifies which formats are available for that particular pattern.

In each of our sewing pattern tutorials, you’ll find detailed information specific to that pattern's printing options.

1. Printer Settings. It's important to select the correct printer settings to ensure your pattern prints to the correct scale. You'll find printer specs in your tutorial &, for more detail, here on the website.

2. Page Printing Guide. You don’t need to print every page or size – just the ones you need. Our guide in the tutorial helps you identify exactly which pages to print.

3. Layout Summary. This shows what your print at home pattern will look like once assembled (taped together).

4. A0 Copy Shop Printing. What to ask for when printing at a copy shop. We recommend requesting plan printing and following the specs outlined above. Please note, printing at a copy shop is always going to be more expensive that printing at home.

For reliable A0 printing in Australia, we recommend Kristen at Dahlia Sewciety & Shelley at Plan Make Do.

In the United States, our customers recommend PDF Plotting.

Cosy & elegant & easy

This is the first PE garment I sewed. I am short & I worried I'd look like a little teapot ( Short& Stout). It was so easy & is very slimming with the band around the waist. I made 3 sweater types, & one in a luxe fine knit . Canadian winters are very cold so sweaters are necessary. How delightful to have some elegant yet warm sweaters to wear. Fantastic design, construction & instructions. Love " What's in the Pattern?".

Hi Sue. I love that the Chasing Butterflies Top was your first PE make and that it’s become such a hit for you! It’s great to hear you’ve created some elegant, cosy options to brighten those chilly Canadian winters. Happy sewing, and enjoy making more!

Chasing butterflies

Well, it took me a while to get around to sewing this up but since I have, I've made three for myself and four more for my daughter and daughter in law. Love this pattern. Super quick to sew and very comfortable.

Sewing Butterflies

This is a quick sew 2 hours to done. I made a size 24 but could have sized down to 20 for a closer fit.

Hi Lara. Thank you for your review! Sewing something up in two hours—now that’s a win! And isn’t it the best part of sewing for yourself? You get to play with the fit exactly how you like it. Happy sewing, and enjoy making more Chasing Butterflies! Kate x
