Introducing the In My Stride Skirt, a fitted pencil skirt that gently tapers from seat to hem for a sleek, pegged look. Paired with a comfortable elastic or yoga-style waistband, this skirt is perfect for creating a chic, modern silhouette.
The star feature of this design is the flounce along the hemline, available in three distinct shapes and lengths: a sweet, short flounce with a subtle flare, a more pronounced flounce with greater depth, and a dramatic, long flounce with a striking flare.
Each flounce can be sewn onto three different hemlines—straight, subtle high-low, and dramatic high-low—allowing you to customize your look.

PRINTING YOUR PDF SEWING PATTERNS.
At Pattern Emporium, most of our patterns include Print-at-Home, A0 Copy Shop, and Projector pattern files. Each listing specifies which formats are available for that particular pattern.
In each of our sewing pattern tutorials, you’ll find detailed information specific to that pattern's printing options.
1. Printer Settings. It's important to select the correct printer settings to ensure your pattern prints to the correct scale. You'll find printer specs in your tutorial &, for more detail, here on the website.
2. Page Printing Guide. You don’t need to print every page or size – just the ones you need. Our guide in the tutorial helps you identify exactly which pages to print.
3. Layout Summary. This shows what your print at home pattern will look like once assembled (taped together).
4. A0 Copy Shop Printing. What to ask for when printing at a copy shop. We recommend requesting plan printing and following the specs outlined above. Please note, printing at a copy shop is always going to be more expensive that printing at home.
For reliable A0 printing in Australia, we recommend Kristen at Dahlia Sewciety & Shelley at Plan Make Do.
In the United States, our customers recommend PDF Plotting.

I have made 3 of the straight hem with the ruffle. They sew up so quickly and are just so super cute and comfortable. My daughter wants one now!!! Thank you for your patterns, they fit well with no alterations and are easy to put together. So enjoyable.
Suzie, we're thrilled you love the pattern. Fast sewing and super cute? That’s our favourite combo!
Love the style choices. Anxiously planning to sew soon.
I love flounces, so no wonder I just had to buy this pattern! I made the dramatic hemline with sweet ruffle. Hemming the flounce takes some care, but was easy with the tips in the tutorial - plus I was rewarded with a super cute skirt! Could also see this looking good when hacked into a dress. Va-Va-Voom is next on my list...
I am absolutely thrilled with this pattern and have now made several skirts. It is so easy to sew using the In My Stride Skirt pattern!
I love the variety of options available with this pattern & have had fun trying them out - I have made about 6 of the In My Stride skirt - because they are super quick to make with clear instructions & tutorial!!
There will definitely be more of these in my future!!
Thanks Kate x
