Style Chat : True Romance with Mel

Part of my stay-home-Mum/work from home seamstress lifestyle means I don’t want a wardrobe full of special occasion pieces that never get worn.

Because lets face it, I don’t get out as much as I would like to (thanks kids!). But I still love the odd date night with hubby or catch up with the girls.

So everything I make gets the “sneakers or heels” test. Can I wear it with sneakers and look fab for my mum-days and can the same thing work in heels for a night out?

 

And the results for the True Romance are heck yes! Even paired with a basic tube skirt can have me from cool mum-on-the-run to date night with a quick shoe change.

And check out that beautiful blousing and banded finish. My muffin top tummy is nowhere in sight. Thanks Tall Hipster length!

I would have to say though that my favourite outfit is a True Romance, Heartlight Skirt combo.

It seriously just makes me feel so fabulously chic, no matter where I wear it.

Worn here with my heeled ankle boots for a dressy casual look. 

Both tops were made using a fluid poly elastane knit  that drapes beautifully on the body and swishes over my skin without being clingy.

Already a much loved addition to my wardrobe!
