Be Mine Balloon Sleeve Top Review

I enjoyed this pattern! The sleeves are just what I wanted, the instructions were spot on, and all the notches and facings lined up and sewed in smoothly. I think the shape doesn't suit me, though, and I will need to make some adjustments before I make another.

Brilliant pattern easily made to fit my small shoulders full bust using one of the 3 front pattern pieces. The sleeves are amazing. The pattern pieces went together as should well drafted. Neckline options will ensure I use this pattern many times. Thank you

      Be Mine Balloon Sleeves

I'm quite new to sewing and this was the first time attempting balloon sleeves (I'm surprised I didn't sew them lengthways' like Dom) on Sewing Bee. Printing the pattern and adjusting it to match my different top and bottom sizes was easy. Although sticking all the A4 sheets together was time consuming. I'm not sure what the material I used was because it was given to me (and I'm not up to speed on material types) but it was light and floaty, so tricky to cut out as it wanted to slip off the table. Nevertheless, once I got used to it's tricky nature and used stabiliser on all the seams, following the pattern was a dream, I did the small hem as I thought the larger hem would pull down too much.. The final garment is perfect and feels lovely to wear, ideal for spring/summer, as it is light and airy, it is now my favourite top. I plan on making another with the shorter sleeves and the larger hem and in one of the materials suggested on the pattern. I really loved using this pattern.

Thanks for sharing your sewing adventure with the Be Mine Balloon Sleeves! We're thrilled it turned out to be your favorite top, despite the tricky fabric. Can't wait to see your next version. Happy sewing!
