    What a great pattern!

This was my first foray into pattern emporium patterns & definitely won’t be the last.
I made this twice. First in a lovely rayon i had in my stash. I made it with a single side leg split and a decorative tie. With pockets which I enlarged a bit to get along better with my phone. In the maxi length, tall. It flows so beautifully, i absolutely love it!
The second one i made about thumb length to wear around home on those stinking hot days. Made that one out of a batik from my stash. In hindsight, the batik has too much body for the extra short length, but i’m sure it’ll soften up after a few washes. Live and learn! Added pockets to that one as well. It was very easy to adjust the pattern for such a short length.
Super impressed with the pattern and instructions. I have no doubt I’ll be making it a few more times.

    Perfection!

This skirt is gorgeous!!! I made a mistake when I was buying fabric online for another project, needed a knit and bought a beautiful woven fabric (Rayon). It was 2.5 yards in 55" wide. I pored over patterns for my beautiful fabric, and selected this one. I really envisioned the maxi skirt for this fabric, but the pattern called for 2.75 yards in 60" wide in the size I was making. With great care, I was able to make the maxi shirt in the yardage I had (fortunately the print did not have an up/down to it), and added the pockets too. There was hardly any waste at all on my cutting room floor. This pattern is technically wonderful, and the instructions, superb. It was so fun to make.

So many different versions to make

I made this skirt with a slit up the front in a bright yellow crepe material. I took a page out of Kate's book and bought yellow sneakers!!!. I then hacked it and made a 3 tiered skirt ...which, again turned out beautifully ...and better still ,,,I only paid $14.00 for the material. Score!!! I have another skirt in the cue and possibly another in a bright orange linen! The possibilities are endless.

    Easy, flowing skirt

I just finished making the hilo tall maxi, paper bag waist version of this skirt out of chiffon. It was very easy to make. My husband said it looks good and since my mirrors don't go low enough to see the lower part of my skirt, I will have to take his word for it. I had asked him which version was the nicest and he chose that version for me to make. The chiffon is nice and floaty and I can either use the skirt alone as a beach cover up or with a short slip underneath as a skirt since you can see through it.
